We, the painters, were booked in months ago, and the customer moves in March. We started painting on the date agreed, and finished by the date agreed. And as a result, the plan goes well and everyone is happy.

We are Qualified Project Manager (Building and Construction), so if you need a hand with your project, just let us know. Sometimes it’s not easy dealing with trades, contracts and budgets, whilst trying to juggle family life. We can take the pressure off by doing the project managing for you.

Super Weatherboard Painters In Ascot Vale

Painting weatherboard houses makes up a large part of our jobs. We are weatherboard painters Ascot Vale, and all over Melbourne, afterall. We’ve seen them in all shapes and sizes. And in all conditions. As exterior house painters, we have some experience in these matters.

We’ve seen pre-primed boards. Stripped weatherboard houses back to bare wood. Dealt with more bubbles than Moet. And more flakes than Cadburys. And whilst everyone is unique, they all require a little tender, love and care. Or as we weatherboard painters call it, sanding, filling and gapping.

This weatherboard house had new Fibre Cement Weatherboards on it, the old ones had seen a hundred years of neglect. These new weatherboards shouldn’t rot, get termites and best of all shouldn’t expand, contract, move, endlessly produce resin, push out nails and weather quite so fast.

But it’s the same process for us weatherboard painters. Sanding, filling, gapping, priming and painting.

Fibre Cement Weatherboards are by there nature low maintenance, and we always apply a premium exterior paint, Dulux Weathershield in most cases. Giving a quality, long lasting painted finish.

The Classic Victorian Brick House – Exterior Painting Kensington

Much of our time is spent exterior house painting in Kensington. As our local suburb, it’s great to not travel to work. Painting the traditional house exteriors is our bread and butter. Half are weatherboard houses, and the other are brick houses. Here in Kensington, we have both. However, both pose their own set of problems and will have their own character.

Exterior House Painters

The brickwork was badly cracked, but the customer planned ahead, and as so, had organised a bricklayer to fixed these before we started painting. It’s great to plan ahead, because it fixes most problems before they arise. We always recommend our clients, have a good look around and fix up areas before we start. House maintenance is very important in protecting your investment. We help by putting the final touches to it.

When we’re painting the colours black and white together, it’s always gets a little difficult. Due to it being the most defined difference, in the colour palette, and that means we have no margin for error. No problem, because we have steady hands and nerves of steel, and that’s what’s needed!

As interior house painters Albert Park, we get to paint a lot of banisters and balustrades. For us they’re the interior version of picket fences. Our techniques and experience are the key components in doing the job well, and looking good.

Our client chose a contempory colour scheme and we used it throughout the house. This took into consideration the age and style of the house. The client reinstalled many original features, which brought the house back to its former standing. The result is an elegant and classic house, that will look as good in 100 years time as it does now.

Vivid White Paint Problems

One of the most problematic aspects for us painters is coverage. Coverage is the paint’s ability to cover the intended material. Vivid White is a problem. Vivid White is intended to be used as a base, to be tinted up to a colour, so it lacks in depth, making it thin and watery. Technically it is still supposed to cover in two coats, but due to the lack of tinters, we find it rarely does.

We would recommend using ‘Builders’ White’ instead. It looks white, you can’t spot the difference, and covers better. The only difference is a small dash of black in it!

Because we are The Ascot Vale House Painters, we love to paint colour! Surprising eh? So finding a client with a great paint colour scheme, is a great reward for us.

Subtle paint colours and ascents, can make all the difference. Adding depth to rooms, and well needed interest. Whilst the blank canvas aproach to homes is great. Because it helps to show of your pieces and furniture. Sometimes the holistic painting approach shouldn’t be wasted. Because having the furniture and paint work all singing from the same song sheet, working together, can make a home, a home.

Wallpaper Installation – No Hanging About!

We even got to hang some wallpaper here too, and you know I love to hang wallpaper. As always the key to hanging wallpaper is preparation, preparation is the key to just about everything! Having a flat surface, priming (sizing), and doing the maths and working out where each and every drop is going to hang.
