Weatherboard Repair & Repaint, Melbourne
Melbourne
Exterior restoration of a Melbourne weatherboard home requiring detailed preparation, timber repairs and repainting, with a refreshed colour scheme selected to complement the home’s architecture and existing exterior features.
The project:
Exterior repair and repaint of a double-storey weatherboard home in Melbourne, requiring scaffolding for safe access, replacement and repair of damaged weatherboards, detailed surface preparation, priming and a complete exterior repaint. Sterling Painters has extensive experience with multi-storey weatherboard homes across Melbourne. This project involved repairing deteriorated timber, preparing existing surfaces and applying a durable exterior paint system designed to protect the home and deliver a consistent finish across both levels.
Extensive preparation was completed across the weatherboards, trims and exterior details, including timber repairs, removal of failing paint, sanding, filling and priming of bare surfaces. A complete exterior paint system was then applied, with a bright yellow (Pale Daffodil) selected by the homeowner for the gable stucco to create a distinctive feature.
Paint details:

Weatherboard Repairs
The existing exterior showed areas of failing paint, weathered timber and surface deterioration. Several large sections of weatherboards required replacement, along with repairs to exterior details, before thorough preparation, priming and repainting could begin..
